My name is Melissa Hudson and I am trekking Mount Kilimanjaro from 2nd September to raise money for Mary Seacole Housing Association who support homeless young people in Luton.
All funds donated will go straight to the charity and will be used to improve the support initiatives and housing that is vital when helping young people find their feet and develop independent skills.
I would really appreciate your donation no matter how large or small as every pound will be put to good use.

Thank you for your donation.
The Mary Seacole Housing Association Limited Fund Raising Ball which took place on Saturday 16th November, was attended by around 300 people from various voluntary agencies, staff and the general public who supported the event.
The event was a huge success as it highlighted the plight of young homeless people, some of the reasons why they became homeless, how this made them feel and some of the choices that they made as a result of their dilemma.
Three residents of the Association volunteered to participate in the event; two of the residents spoke about their real life experiences and one of them sang a very touching song for the audience. Many commented afterwards on how moved they were by the actual experiences, and how much they had enjoyed the event.
After the speeches, the audience was entertained by a Dance Troupe, sponsored by Pop up Events Management, which provides, Pop up options such as Christmas Pop up Shops, Fashion Shows, and Themed Nights. The events are set up, marketed and run within the charity, by young people who attend the College. There is a small cost to the organisation, but a percentage of the profit raised from the Pop up Event will be donated back to your charity, or another chosen charity.
The Dance troupe, Hype who wowed the audience with their break dancing routine, was followed by another Dance act consisting of two young men who had appeared on Britain's Got Talent. They were fabulous! Last but not least was a young singer who sang the new James Bond song, 'Skyfall' in the likeness of Adele. The audience were thrilled and everyone was amazed that a young 14 year old could sing with such confidence and poise.
The Mary Seacole Housing Association's Fund Raising Ball was a huge success due in part to the entertainment provided by Pop up Events Management, from the Hastinbury Business and Enterprise College, Kempston in Bedford. The College has successfully secured funding from Peter Jones as part of the Tycoon in Schools project. Tycoon in Schools is a brand new nationwide campaign to get Britain's school children involved in entrepreneurship. It gives young people a real opportunity to have a go at starting a business.
'I enjoyed all the young people and the clients. It makes me feel proud to be a part of helping them in some way'.
'The whole ambience was great, the venue was wonderful'
Wow what a fantastic night, again you have exceeded expectations'. All my friends thoroughly enjoyed themselves and want to come next year, they are thinking of friends who they want to invite next year. It is already in my diary.
Mary Seacole would like to recommend Pop up Events, as it enables young people to get involved with community initiatives, and demonstrates their abilities, but also support small charities with events that they would find it hard to facilitate and manage. Thank you Pop up Events!
